Pez Dispensers!

Hello All! It's late in the day again..or should I say really late at night! I  usually post the days sales between midnight and 1 a.m.! I'm a night owl but this is just getting too late! Anyway, I finally sold these Pez dispensers today! I always wonder what people are doing with what they buy from me. Maybe this person collects them or wouldn't they be cute to have for a kids party? I bought a bunch at a yard sale over a month ago and paid $5.00 for all of them. I sold this lot for $15.00 plus $6.74 shipping. After taking the cost off and fees and shipping I took home $7.86. I still have a few more to sell so if I sell them I won't have to figure in the cost of those.

I did list 5 new things on Ebay today! I listed 4 mens shirts and then this set of square Ball jars:

I just love these. They are a lot harder to find so I'm hoping I do well on them. I started them at $19.95....we'll see how it goes!

Making money....

This was the extent of today's sales! Two of these pieces were given to me (my mom was going to sell them at her yard sale for I think a dollar) and I paid 50 cents for the other piece. So I have 50 cents in these and they sold for $12.00 plus shipping! I cleared $10.91 on them after fees and shipping.

This morning I got my order of 17 jars ready. It took me a little over an hour. After figuring in the cost of the jars, packing materials, fees (which were $9.92!) and shipping I cleared $89.33. That figures out to $5.25 clear on each jar. I'm happy with that! I figure I probably have 3 hours in this order....buying the jars and bringing them home, washing them, taking pictures, listing and then packing them up. That figures out at about $30/hour! Even if I spent 4 hours on them I guess it would be $22.33/hr. so not too bad! I'm just glad that I'm able to sell online instead of working outside of the home. My knees and feet aren't so good so that would limit the type of job that I could find. I just wish I could find and sell about 100 jars each week!

I did get a few new things put in my Etsy shop but nothing new but relisted items in my Ebay store. Tomorrow I will list at least 5 new things on Ebay...promise!

Sold Some Jars!

This morning I was getting 3 orders from the weekend ready and I just happened to check my Vintage shop somewhere along the line and saw that I had sold 17 jars! They are going to California. They sold for $117.75 plus shipping! I will get the order ready in the morning and update on my "take-home pay" from this sale!

I also sold these tea towels on Ebay tonight.

Paid $2.50 - Sold for $10.95 plus shipping

 

 

I have 2 other sets of these kinds of tea towels in my Etsy shop. I have a few more that I need to get pictures of and list.

 

I got my order of 8 half gallon jars ready today. I paid $8.00 for them, sold them for $75 plus shipping. After fees and packing and everything I cleared $60.63!

 

The 3 blue vases that I sold over the weekend only cleared me $3.96. I missed the mark on the shipping and lost over a dollar more on that.....I hate when that happens!

 

The 16 old shabby zinc lids sold for $11 plus $9.95 shipping. They didn't really cost me anything as they come on some of the jars that I get. After fees and packing I made $10.15.

 

I don't even remember if I listed anything today! Seems like I spent half the day getting orders ready and then I took them to the Post Office and got groceries! Too many things to do!

Pretty Blue

That's what I sold today...pretty blue vases! I've seen collections of different colored vases selling. I thought I would start collecting cobalt blue pieces and maybe get 10 of them to put together. Well, I decided that I just don't have room to collect things and wait till I find more pieces so I decided to sell this group of 3. I love the tall bottle. I don't remember what I paid for the 3...probably not more than $2.00 total. I sold them for $10 plus shipping. They are going to Florida.

I just love the cover of it! It has lots of black and white pictures in it but also several full page colorful ones like the cover. I also listed another book and then some book pages with lots of vintage graphics.

Today's Sales

I sold these old zinc lids today. These are not in real good shape as you can see in the pictures. The undersides of most of them have some kind of paint around the edges and some of the porcelain is cracked. Some of them are bent and won't really screw onto a jar. I get lids all the time when I buy jars for a dollar each. Some people just throw the lids in with them so they don't really cost me much. I sold these 16 lids for $11.00 plus shipping. Not too bad for shabby old lids! I sold 20 old lids like these for $12.00 a few months ago. I don't know what the buyers are using them for but I let them know in the listing the condition that they are in. I guess you can pretty much sell anything on the internet! Someone out there just might want what you have!

Sold 8 jars for $75.00 plus shipping. They cost me $8.00! After the cost of the jars, fees and packing I will probably clear $60.00! I love the blue jars! They've helped us out many a time!

I relisted a few things on Ebay and one new item today. I listed 2 sets of embroidered tea towels on Etsy. Listing is definitely not my favorite thing to do. I really need to focus on listing a certain amount of things each day. How can I sell if I don't list? I'm going to try harder!

No Pictures?

I was going through my posts last night and saw that some of the pictures weren't there anymore! There is just a big square with a minus sign in the middle! Does anyone know why that is? I took some time to add some of the pictures back in but didn't get to all of them. I'd hate to have to do that all of the time! I would appreciate it if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong that my pictures are going away! Thank you! ~~Pam

Cute book!

My daughter and I went to Goodwill today and I found this darling picture book! It is a reproduction from the antique original "Revolving Pictures" book first published  in 1892 by Ernest Nister. It has the cutest pictures and when you pull the ribbon around to the other side it changes the picture! Here are a few of them:

It's a really cute book. I paid $4.38 for it. I looked up sold listings and I probably won't be able to sell it for much more than $10 so with fees and the cost of the book it probably isn't worth it to sell it on Ebay. My sister is having a craft, bazaar, Scentsy show at her house in a few weeks. My sisters and mom and I will be making lots of things to show and I think I will take some of my vintage things too. So....I plan on taking this book and maybe putting $10 on it there. If it sells at least I won't have fees to take out of it! I think it would be a cute gift for someone.

 

I'm looking forward to being together with my mom and sisters and having a couple of fun days! I just need to get busy and decide what I'm going to make to try to sell! I do make handmade greeting cards. My first Etsy shop that I opened back in 2007 was called "CardCrazy". That link will take you to my "sold" page....I only have 2 cards for sale right now! I just can't seem to find the time to make cards anymore! And I really need to make some to send out some thank-you's that I owe! So that's an idea...make some cards to sell! I've also seen some cute ideas for projects on Pinterest that might be quick and easy. If I make anything to sell I will share it on here.

 

No sales today. Yesterday I had someone ask me to put up a listing for 8 blue Ball half-gallon jars so I did but they haven't actually bought them yet...hopefully they will soon!
