What Do You Think?

There was actually a yard sale here today! Woo hoo! I found this neat old office stamp holder. I paid $7.50 for it. When I got home I looked on Ebay and didn't see one like this at all. All of the ones I saw are round carousel type holders. Have any of you out there seen one like this? It seems like the round ones go for around $20 to $30 or more. I was thinking I would like to get at least $30 for this if not $40....what do you think? Is there a technical name for it? I just searched under "vintage office stamp holder"....should I start it on auction at $30? Should I include the stamps or sell them separately? I think I could get at least $10 just for the stamps. Let me know what you think! Thanks so much!

  1. I would sell the stamps separately if you think you can. And I'd do a fixed price listing on the holder and start high. If you can find no others like it it is a good bet. Don't sell it too low. It may take a little while for the right buyer to come along but if you have something unique the buyer will come

  2. That is neat. I would sell the stamps separately too. I agree with Nancy to start high, but I would probably try an auction first & if it doesn't sell at auction then try the fixed price.

  3. That's pretty cool Nancy! I would maybe put keywords like "industrial" or even "steampunk" in the title.

  4. Ah.. nice find - though wish I had found it first as I keep the vintage items I find to decorate my home and office rather than buying to re-sell.

  5. A nice find. Start high like several have suggested. You can always come down in a while if it doesn't sell. Auction? I don't do that any more because I think you get more for BIN, but that may be just me.
    Good luck
