This Weeks Sales

What a beautiful day today is! Practically balmy! :) Not sure what the high temp was but probably close to 50. It felt nice to have the sun shining and hopefully melting some of this snow!

I want to thank everyone for their kind comments on my last post. I know I am my own worst enemy sometimes. I guess I just have a lot to do and sometimes feel like I fail miserably! Oh well....I will do what I can and be happy about it!

Hey! I'm almost halfway to my goal for this month...lol! And it's not even halfway through the month! If I make my goal earlier maybe I will slowly add to it...:). One comment on my last post was from Linda and I think she really gave some good advice.... " I would only suggest that you double your income by listing twenty to thirty dollar items instead of ten dollar or less items. Same amount of work for twice the reward. :) That sounds like good advice! I'm hoping that this summer I can find things that are worth that much in a price range that I can afford! Right now I have quite a bit of stuff on hand to sell but most of it probably isn't worth $20-$30. There aren't any yard sales and haven't been since October. The only thrift store around here is Goodwill and even they are too high priced for me most of the time! So, I'm going to try to get most of the stuff I have listed before yard sale season starts so I can make room for more stuff! (seems like I'm always talking about stuff!)

So, anyway, it's been a busy week around here! We have our very first grandbaby! Our daughter-in-law had a pretty rough time and when he was born he wasn't breathing on his own. They got him stabilized and then sent him to the NICU 45 minutes away. He was pretty sick for the first couple of days but is doing much better now. He will probably come home later this week. He is so sweet! They took him off of the oxygen today. He still has a feeding tube in but will probably get rid of that tomorrow. He weighed 9 lbs. 12 oz. which I 'm sure was in his favor! He's a strong little man! I held him yesterday and he was lifting his head off my chest and doing all sorts of wiggling! It will be fun having a baby around again. My "baby" is 8 yrs. old already!

Thanks for stopping by! ~~Pam

  2. Congratulations on your first grandchild! How precious! I agree with trying to aim for a higher profit margin, but I also know it's not easy putting out more than a dollar or two on something if you're not sure it's going to sell for $20 or $30.

  3. Congratulations on becoming a Grammy!
I am anxiously waiting for yard sale season to start here too. I never find much at the local thrift store & when I do it is usually only items that I can only make a couple dollars profit on. I did get to a church flea market the other day & got a few good items there.

  5. congrats on a grandchild! my first 2 were 4lbs and in the nicu for a month....some angels work in the NICUs I swear :D I aim for at least 10.00 profit per item give or take.maybe less if its something i enjoy selling. I always gave you lots of props for selling lots of items for not much profit. Profit margins do seem to jump a lot at yard sale season!
