I do! I sold this lot of buttons today. When I sold the last lot on eBay I took off the $5.00 that all the buttons I bought like this cost so any more from that bunch of buttons are free and clear! Made a profit of $13 on this bunch and $10.01 on the first set so I've made $23.01 clear on half a laundry basket full of buttons that cost me five bucks! I still have quite a few more to sell! I love buttons! I've got way too many that I should be getting listed too!
I got quite a bit accomplished today! Did 6 loads of laundry....that's quite an accomplishment in itself! I also listed 4 new things on eBay too so I'm glad about that. Seems like I was really busy all day but now I can't remember everything that I did! Same old daily stuff probably! It was nice to be home....too cold to go anywhere!
Thanks for stopping by! ~~Pam
That's a nice profit on the buttons. I used to buy bins of old buttons at flea markets and estate sales really cheap. Then suddenly they became very popular collectibles and people would sell ball jars filled with them and ask ridiculous prices. Yours look like new buttons. Got any tips what to look for when buying buttons?
ReplyDeleteI don't really have any tips but I can't afford to buy expensive ones so I just look for really good deals! I had asked the lady with the half laundry basket full how much she wanted and she asked how much I would pay. Knowing I didn't really need more buttons but thinking she would probably want at least $20 or more I offered $5 and she accepted! I haven't found any really neat or unique ones for awhile. I do have a half gallon jar full of pearl buttons that I need to sort and get listed. They usually go for a little more money. ~~Pam
DeleteButtons... I see them all the time at estates sales and just walk by them. I will have to take a look next time.
ReplyDeleteMe too, see them & don't pay attention, that will change!
