This next pair of Nike shoes were a gift from my sister....she probably found them at a yard sale and I'm not sure how much she paid for them but knowing her (she's like me when it comes to this stuff) it probably wasn't more than a couple of bucks! (thank you Naomi!)

Samsonite Train Case
Paid $1.88 - Sold for $24.95 - Profit $19.75
Sometimes I just gotta get the cheaper things even when I know I won't make a ton...like these napkin rings. Not a whole lot of profit but every little bit helps! Sometimes I feel like I would be throwing money away if I don't go ahead and get it to sell! And these are easy to pack up and ship!

This wood silverware organizer was a gift from my sister but it didn't fit in my drawer! I was just going to take it to Goodwill but thought I'd look it up on eBay and decided to sell it!

Ladies Tommy Hilfiger Shorts
Paid $2.00 - Sold for $12.95 - Profit $9.13
So, that's about it! Thanks for stopping by! ~~Pam
Nice sales! I always see hot rollers but I'm hesitant to buy them. Are they hard to clean? I think that I'll forget to see a hair & buyer will give negative feedback.
ReplyDeleteNapkin rings rock! Some sell for surprising amounts of money.
I only buy the ones that look really nice...like almost never used. Sometimes I have to pull out a few stray hairs but its never been bad. Thanks for your comment! ~~Pam
DeleteI'm surprised to see the hot rollers selling so well, wow! :)
ReplyDeleteI know...it's crazy, isn't it? I don't know if places like Wal-Mart sell them anymore or not. Maybe people have their favorite sets and they can't find them in the stores anymore...who knows! Thanks for your comment! ~~Pam
DeleteI always pick up hot rollers too, I learned that from you! Right now I have 3 sets that I need to list. I tend to put off listing things that I have to test, not sure why since it only takes a couple minutes. They always seem to sell for me but sometimes they take a while.
ReplyDeleteRhonda
Yeah, sometimes they take a little while to go. I still have a few sets listed but I s'pose they will eventually sell! ~~Pam
DeleteHi Lisa! Just checked out your blog and watched a couple of videos! Thanks for letting me know about you and for having me on your blog list! I just added you to mine! Have a great day! ~~Pam
ReplyDeleteHi Pam,
ReplyDeleteI was hoping you could help me with a jar question? I have a blue ball half pint jar with a zinc lid. It is not perfect mason but special. Do you have any idea if there is a difference in the value of perfect mason versus special? From what I saw on eBay it looks like I can maybe get close to $150 for it but do not know if it being special hurts that value any.
Thanks so much!
Rhonda
Hi Rhonda! Is your jar a wide mouth jar? Usually the Special jars are wide mouth. I would think you could get some good money for it, especially if it's in good condition! I found one on eBay that went for $30.26 but they had it on auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ball-Wide-Mouth-Vintage-Pint-Canning-Jar-With-Zinc-Lid-/172287141664?hash=item281d1d2720:g:6HkAAOSwtnpXmjjs
DeleteI think if it was me I'd do "buy it now" and set my own price.
Here's another one that went for $43 on auction:

I couldn't find the one you were talking about that went for $150. I know the Ball Perfect Mason half pint jars can go for around $100. If yours is a wide mouth and in good shape I'd consider listing it for a high price. You could always do best offer on it if you do set a high price. Let me know how it goes!

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for answering! It is wide mouth. I looked at the ones you linked. It looks like maybe the special does not bring as much as perfect mason. There are 2 on auction of the perfect mason now, one goes off tonight & it is at $102, the other I think in a day or two & is at $74.99. Mine is in good shape, it was my mom's though, so I will only part with it if I can get a lot. I will let you know what I do & thanks again!
Rhonda
Rhonda....If it has some sentimental value to you then I definitely would hold out for more if you decide to sell it! I think I would shoot for $100...those jars are very rare too and if it's in good condition then the right buyer will come along! Let me know how it goes if you decide to part with it!

Hi Pam,
DeleteI just listed it for 149.95. I know that is high, but since it was my mom's I only want to sell it for a great price. I may add best offer in later. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again for your advice!
